The ANC Zine Fair is an artist-led gathering of independent zine-makers, publishers, printmakers, and activists in Anchorage, Alaska.

Organized through a shared love of zines, books, and printed media in all its forms, the ANC Zine Fair strives to celebrate and strengthen self-published culture through an inclusive, community-focused exhibition and marketplace.

We've been doing this since 2017! Every fair has been a little different, a little bigger, and a little more proof that print is alive and well here in Anchorage.

What's a zine? A zine (rhymes with "mean") is a small, self-published work, usually photocopied, hand-stapled, and made entirely outside of traditional publishing. Zines have covered everything from punk music to queer identity to recipes to extremely specific feelings about living in Alaska. There are no rules.

Who organizes this? The ANC Zine Fair is organized by a small volunteer crew of Anchorage-based artists and zine enthusiasts. We don't have a budget line for catering. We do have strong opinions about paper stock.
